I am an occupational therapist registered with the HPCSA and BHF, and I hold a master’s degree specialising in mental health and psychiatry. I started my career working in the NGO field, then at a government psychiatric hospital, and then 4 years at a private psychiatric clinic. I am currently in full-time private practice.
I have experience working with individuals with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders and other psychiatric problems. I have also worked in organisations and am a trained Integrative9 Enneagram facilitator and Sensory Intelligence® practitioner. These are both tools I use with individuals, groups and organisation in order to understand yourself better, and make an impact in your life or your company.
As an occupational therapist, I take a practical skills-building approach to therapy and organisational coaching. Together we will identify the areas of your life or your company that seems out of balance; and which skills are needed to improve in that area. We might work together on skills like anxiety management, healthy communication, emotional regulation or various other skills to help you restore balance, take the next steps, and identify and reach your goals.
